TL;DR

Software Development Engineer III (HR Tech): Building and maintaining digital HR systems and workforce technology with an accent on enterprise integrations, API development, and AI implementation. Focus on optimizing employee experiences across Workday and Cornerstone platforms and ensuring system scalability and reliability using SRE principles.

Location: Greater Seattle Area. Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.

Salary: $164,652.00 - $230,512.80

What you will do

  • Develop and deploy digital employee experiences across HR platforms including Workday, Cornerstone, and LMS tools.
  • Build integrations between enterprise systems and internal/external applications using RESTful APIs, SOAP, GraphQL, and message queues.
  • Implement AI technologies (LLMs, recommendation engines, intelligent automation) to enhance HR software capabilities.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and data analysts to translate operational requirements into actionable software solutions.
  • Utilize DevOps technologies and CI/CD best practices to support software automation and deployment.
  • Apply SRE principles to ensure HR systems meet reliability and availability standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience writing software and deploying it to production environments.
  • Working proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience developing or consuming APIs in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with at least one HR technology platform (e.g., Workday, Cornerstone OnDemand, or similar HCM systems).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.

Nice to have

  • Experience deploying web interfaces using React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
  • Familiarity with Datadog for observability and monitoring.
  • Experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, or Workday Extend.
  • Knowledge of Databricks or similar data engineering platforms.
