Field Service Engineer (Swing Shift)

What you will do

• Handle administrative and coordination tasks including pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problem reports, and monthly reports; prepare written technical reports independently.
• Maintain and service HMI MBI equipment at customer sites in clean-room conditions, including work up to 12 hours in a clean-room Gore-Tex suit.
• Install new equipment, perform upgrades, and support system relocations.
• Run diagnostics and maintenance while being reviewed on end results; escalate issues through 2L Tech Support, applications, and 3L Global Support Center with clear technical communication.
• Advise customers on actions to correct system malfunctions and provide technical assistance while training customers on use and maintenance of equipment.
• Coach junior engineers and contribute to improvement proposals using post-mortems and technical action plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
• 0–4 years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, or semiconductor processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel VBA.
• Basic programming skills in MATLAB, Python, SQL, or similar.
• Ability to work compressed work week and work potential night and weekend shifts.
• Ability to work at a customer site and follow customer rules and safety procedures; expect to spend >50% of time inside the clean room.
