What you will do

• Operate and monitor water treatment processes, including filtration, membrane systems, chemical dosing, and reclamation.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on pumps, valves, gauges, and control panels.
• Collect and analyze water samples for pH, conductivity, turbidity, and chlorine to adjust treatment.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot operational issues to ensure continuous system performance.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for operations and regulatory compliance (e.g., TDEC).
• Collaborate with facilities and environmental teams on system commissioning and optimization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in water/wastewater treatment preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating water or wastewater treatment systems in industrial, municipal, or data center settings.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, treatment processes, and basic mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, P&IDs, and control schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call.

Nice to have

• Certification as a Tennessee Water or Wastewater Treatment Operator.
• Experience with reverse osmosis, ceramic membranes, or industrial cooling water systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and automated controls.
• Background in data center, power generation, or large-scale cooling water operations.
