What you will do

• Maintain water system equipment, including cleaning strainers, repairing fittings, and assisting with pump maintenance.
• Monitor boiler, steam, and cooling water chemistry to determine maintenance needs.
• Coordinate and execute off-loading procedures for water treatment chemical deliveries.
• Perform routine testing of boiler water, steam, and cooling tower chemistry.
• Maintain system logs and ensure chemical dikes and trenches are properly managed.
• Provide support for water washing, outages, and shift coverage as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with high-pressure boilers and auxiliary systems.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs and work from heights or in confined spaces.
• Must qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Formal technical or utility training.
• Previous experience with water testing.
