What you will do

• Lead the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable backend services on Kubernetes within a multi-AZ cloud architecture.
• Design authentication and authorization integrations and partner with Security on threat modeling and AI safety guardrails.
• Define SLIs/SLOs and lead service ownership, including on-call rotations, ops reviews, and rollout strategies.
• Establish comprehensive test strategies across the pillar, encompassing unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching to LMTS and SMTS engineers through design reviews.
• Represent the team to VP-level leadership and external stakeholders, managing the technical backlog and architectural alignment.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of shipping enterprise SaaS at scale.
• Production-level fluency in Java and/or Python.
• Experience designing and operating highly available distributed systems on AWS with 99.99%+ availability targets.
• Ability to drive proactive threat modeling and partner with security on AppSec and AI safety considerations.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, pytest, Selenium, or Playwright.
• Exceptional communication skills for presenting technical strategy and trade-offs to executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Expertise in shaping experiences with LLMs and agents, including ML model performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS ecosystems and tenant-isolation patterns across data layers.
• Experience with Agile, TDD, and zero-downtime deployment patterns (blue/green, rolling releases).
• Familiarity with business process management, process mining, or workflow automation domains.
