Location: Av. P.º de la Reforma, Juárez, Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico; in-office collaboration required at least 4 days/week

What you will do
- Own day-to-day accounting processes, including monthly close, journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and GL reconciliations.
- Deliver monthly/quarterly/annual trial balances prepared under US GAAP and bridge between US GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee accounting operations and reconciliations, including coordination with third-party accounting support and corporate accounting.
- Establish and manage internal controls, documentation, and support SOX/statutory audits; manage tax compliance activities (VAT, payroll, WHT, transfer pricing).
- Lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, including rollout of S4 and automation of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including aging analysis, dispute resolution support, and cash flow forecasting/true-up.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting plus post-graduate accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent); Big 4 experience preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant financial accounting experience with US GAAP knowledge, local accounting practices, and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Proven managerial/leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of Mexico tax compliance (Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT, etc.).
- Fluent English and Spanish; ability to communicate and translate business issues into financial implications.
- Reside within commutable distance to Mexico City office; in-office collaboration required at least 4 days/week.
