Financial Analyst

TL;DR

Financial Analyst: Analyzing entity expenses by cost center and preparing budget and forecast reports with an accent on variance analysis and financial reporting. Focus on supporting the finance manager with scenario planning and ensuring accurate monthly submissions to the group.

Location: Must be based in Mexico City within a reasonable commuting distance (no more than 1 hour)

What you will do

• Prepare monthly expense reports by area and perform risk and operational analysis against budget and forecast.
• Review main variances in monthly expenses with involved departments to provide feedback to management.
• Participate in the preparation of budget and forecast expenses.
• Submit expense-related information to the UK entity finance team on a monthly basis.
• Assist the Finance Manager and Coordinator in preparing finance scenarios and detailed analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (graduate or in final stages).
• At least 1 year of experience as a Financial Analyst or internship experience for recent graduates.
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).
• English: B1 level required (spoken and written for UK meetings and emails).
• Must be based in Mexico City within a 1-hour commute.
• Ability to work under high workloads until 7–8 PM.

Nice to have

• Experience in advisory, audit, or Big Four firms.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Contpaq, SAP, or Oracle.
• Experience with Power BI and Excel macros.
