What you will do

• Lead supplier qualification, audit processes, and risk assessments based on VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 frameworks.
• Review and approve PPAP documentation for BESS components, including DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Collaborate with Engineering on New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and design reviews for inverters and battery systems.
• Drive corrective actions (8D, RCCA) for supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), specifically safety-critical failures.
• Ensure supplier compliance with grid standards and regulatory requirements (UL, IEC, CE, IEEE, REACH, and RoHS).
• Monitor supplier KPIs such as DPPM and CAPA effectiveness using Salesforce dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering experience in electrical equipment, power electronics, or energy storage.
• Proven experience with Batteries and BESS equipment, including cell and module manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, 8D, and CAPA.
• Familiarity with grid compliance standards (UL 9540A, IEEE 1547) and reliability validation testing.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification.
• Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) designation.
• Experience managing supplier performance across Asia and Europe.
• Expertise in supplier risk management within the energy storage industry.
