What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product reliability engineers, ensuring technical execution and accountability.
- Partner with Program Management and Integrated Product Teams to align requirements, design intent, and production capability.
- Own execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) deliverables, including FMEA and control plans.
- Lead structured root cause investigations (8D, 5 Whys) and corrective action efforts for product failures.
- Develop and standardize reliability tools, templates, and best practices across multiple programs.
- Track and report reliability metrics and readiness to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in product reliability, quality, manufacturing, or validation engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience leading projects or direct management of engineers.
- Experience solving complex engineering problems using structured methodologies.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Torrance, California.
Nice to have
- Experience with Six Sigma, DOE, or Fault Tree Analysis.
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing, machining, and adhesive bonding.
- Knowledge of automotive and aerospace industry standards.
- Experience with NX/Teamcenter, SQL, or PowerBI.
