What you will do

• Oversee end-to-end bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing for multiple states, entities, and employee populations.
• Administer payroll provisions of employee and collective bargaining agreements, including union dues and seniority-based adjustments.
• Partner with Finance to accurately allocate payroll costs across cost centers and locations.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and regulations.
• Provide customer-focused support for payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of payroll experience managing complex, multi-state payrolls.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems such as Workday or ADP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll tax and compliance requirements.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting unionized workforces.
• Specific experience with California payroll.
• Familiarity with collective bargaining agreement (CBA) administration.
