What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal homeowners' insurance policies.
• Analyze risk information to recommend loss prevention actions and inspections.
• Resolve complex underwriting referrals that fall outside standard guidelines.
• Collaborate with claims, billing, and customer support departments to address queries.
• Develop underwriting job aids, training tools, and resources to ensure team consistency.
• Communicate underwriting trends and process improvements to leadership and technology teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in P&C Homeowners underwriting.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of ISO homeowners' policies, coverages, and endorsements.
• Strong technical underwriting, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in CA and TX insurance markets.
• Wildfire and catastrophic underwriting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor or guide others in underwriting best practices.
