What you will do

• Develop and program SCADA and plant control systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Configure RTU, PLC, and HMI equipment to meet project specifications.
• Participate in factory testing, startup, and commissioning of control systems.
• Optimize process control loops and ensure system efficiency.
• Coordinate with utility staff, contractors, and engineering firms.
• Provide ongoing customer support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Phoenix, AZ metro area.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of experience in PLC, RTU, SCADA, and HMI programming.
• Proficiency with Modicon M580 and Control Expert.
• Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and DNP3.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including background checks and drug screens.

Nice to have

• Experience with Allen-Bradley Control Logix.
• SCADA programming experience with VTScada, AVEVA Intouch, FactoryTalk View, or GE Proficy iFix.
• Experience writing control narratives or operator manuals.
• Background in consulting or water/wastewater industry.
• System Integrator experience as a programmer and project lead.
