TL;DR

Location: Onsite in Lake Orion, Michigan. Relocation benefits may be available.

What you will do

  • Lead controls engineering strategy and execution for manufacturing systems.
  • Serve as the technical authority for PLC, robotics, and network architecture standards.
  • Manage complex electrical and controls projects, including new installations and major upgrades.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution for complex equipment and system failures.
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineers and skilled trades across multiple shifts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship provided.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Lake Orion, MI on a full-time basis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Rockwell / Allen-Bradley ControlLogix platforms.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and programming experience with FANUC robotics.
  • Expert-level ability to interpret and modify electrical schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial networks (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet/IP).

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive vehicle assembly manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with manufacturing software integration (MES, SCADA).
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
