What you will do

• Coordinate with the news assignment desk, editorial staff, and media managers for required newsfeeds via microwave, fiber, satellite, and cellular bonded systems.
• Operate complex ENG microwave control systems, satellite systems, CBNG systems, and beauty camera systems.
• Perform quality control on ingested feeds, including video, audio, microphone levels, and IFB operation.
• Coordinate feed routing to studio control rooms.
• Coordinate IFB assignments to field crews and helicopter using RTS and 450 radio.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Network Operation Center / Technical Operation Center or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with digital microwave transmission systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Electronic News Gathering and Digital Satellite News Gathering operations.
• Knowledge and experience with remote control ENG control systems.
• Familiarity with digital video communication systems.
• On-site full-time at Universal City, CA; willing to work overtime, evenings, and weekends with short notice and respond to emergency calls.
