TL;DR

Director, Growth Marketing: Building BWZ’s growth engine from scratch by owning audience acquisition, conversion optimization, and experimentation systems with an accent on end-to-end funnel performance, structured A/B testing, and measurement/reporting that drives continuous improvement. Location: Remote (Canada: Vancouver, British Columbia; Calgary, Alberta; Ottawa, Ontario; Toronto, Ontario; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Victoria, British Columbia)

What you will do

  • Own paid acquisition strategy across social, retargeting, and high-intent placements.
  • Design conversion pathways into membership, events, and audience products; optimize landing pages and signup flows.
  • Build and run a repeatable A/B testing framework (channels, messaging, offers) with a regular experiment cadence and reporting rhythm.
  • Establish baseline tracking and build live dashboards for acquisition, conversion, CAC, and experiment performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Media, Revenue Products, Events, RevOps, Audience Ops, and developers/designers to implement funnel improvements.
  • Operationalize successful experiments and share learnings across Media, Revenue, and Leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven growth marketing or paid acquisition track record in a media/newsletter or audience-driven business.
  • Hands-on experience running paid campaigns (Meta, LinkedIn, or equivalent), including bid/optimization work.
  • Strong conversion optimization skills: landing pages, funnel analysis, and structured A/B testing.
  • Experience building reporting systems and dashboards (not only consuming analytics).
  • Comfort operating without an existing execution team; ability to build processes from scratch.
  • Prior team leadership experience (managing a small team or contractors).
