Salary: $119,000 – $146,475

What you will do

• Design and implement DOE and NRC compliant procedures for reactor operators.
• Qualify as a Reactor Operator (RO) to ensure procedures align with real-world execution.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve operator interfaces, procedural workflows, and software tools.
• Support testing and iterative improvements of digital twin scenarios and human-machine interfaces.
• Develop operational procedures that integrate both software and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional engineering experience in system design, analysis, or testing.
• Background in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, aviation, or maritime.
• Must work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Willingness to travel 50% - 60% of the time for projects.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a nuclear operator or Licensed Senior Reactor Operator (SRO).
• Proficiency in Python and UNIX for procedure testing within simulator environments.
• Hands-on experience in human factors engineering or operational interface design.
