TL;DR

Project Manager (Projects and Change): Lead the Enrolment and Student Support Delivery workstream within the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) Programme, driving operational, systems, policy, and service changes for the new student finance model with an accent on programme milestones delivery, dual-running readiness, and cross-functional dependencies. Focus on managing complex delivery across business, policy, and technical constraints while ensuring operational readiness for enrolment, student support, and student finance-related changes.

Location: Hybrid (Milton Keynes office; expected attendance about twice per week, Tuesday–Thursday)

Salary: £38,784 to £46,049

What you will do

  • Lead projects/workstreams through delivery, implementation, and transition phases to meet time, cost, and scope deliverables.
  • Develop and agree delivery plans, monitor performance, and manage risks (including escalation and solution implementation).
  • Coordinate business readiness across Academic Services and partner teams ahead of SLC Systems Launch (September 2026) and Full LLE Launch (January 2027).
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies across Academic Services, Digital Services, Finance, Student Support, Marketing and Communications, and external partners.
  • Deliver operational changes for LLE-funded students, including registration, enrolment, eligibility assessment, communications, student support processes, and lifecycle management.
  • Plan and lead transition/handover of programme deliverables into sustainable business-as-usual operations, ensuring regulatory and policy requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Higher education qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience managing delivery of complex projects/workstreams or business change initiatives within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Knowledge of best-practice project management methodologies, governance, and assurance processes.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use software packages for project delivery, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including negotiation and handling challenging situations.
  • Strong planning/organisational and problem-solving skills, including risk assessment and sound judgement.
