TL;DR
Expert Engineer (C++/Unreal Engine): Shaping and evolving a shared technology ecosystem across multiple game projects with an accent on scalability, modularity, and long-term sustainability of systems and pipelines. Focus on designing cross-project pipelines, driving refactoring and architecture reviews, and mentoring teams to reduce duplication and fragmentation risks.
Location: Warsaw (office-first, minimum 10 days per month) and remote-first from within Europe for select candidates
Salary: 37 000 - 50 900 PLN gross monthly

What you will do
- Design and evolve pipelines that enable efficient sharing of technology, systems, and tools across multiple projects.
- Support code and system merging processes to minimize conflicts and ensure consistency.
- Drive refactoring efforts to improve modularity, maintainability, and reusability of existing systems.
- Review architectures and implementations with a focus on scalability, modularity, and long-term sustainability.
- Mentor and consult teams on best practices for code sharability and cross-project development.
- Contribute directly to shared systems and re-architect solutions to be reusable across different contexts.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in a software architecture role designing scalable, modular systems in a multi-project environment.
- Experience in architecture or technical leadership guiding technical direction across teams or multiple projects.
- Proven experience refactoring large or legacy codebases in a production environment.
- Deep understanding of version control systems (e.g., Perforce, Git) and branching/merging strategies.
- Very good knowledge of C++ and/or other relevant game development languages.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate on technical decisions across teams.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine or similar game development environments.
