TL;DR
Data Scientist - FCRM (Fintech): Developing and maintaining AML typologies to identify and mitigate financial crime risks with an accent on machine learning and big data analytics. Focus on deploying scalable ML models on Azure and Databricks and integrating generative and agentic AI into risk mitigation workflows.

Salary: $96,130 - $155,950 USD

What you will do
- Create, develop, and maintain AML typologies to proactively identify and mitigate financial crime risks.
- Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models leveraging Python and SQL.
- Collaborate with Financial Intelligence Units (FIU) and cross-functional teams to provide targeted data analysis.
- Translate complex business problems into viable, scalable, and sustainable data science solutions.
- Visualize data insights to communicate results clearly to senior executives and stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the overall Analytics function.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder status is mandatory.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced technical degree (Math, Physics, Engineering, Finance, or CS).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Python, SQL, and Databricks.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models.
- Experience in Financial Crimes or Compliance Risk Analytics.

- Experience with generative and agentic AI.
- Experience assisting financial institutions with transaction monitoring system efficiency.
