What you will do

• Lead requirements definition, functional decomposition, analysis, development, and testing for current, new, and major vehicle programs.
• Develop embedded C software system team design content and drive software anomaly investigation and correction.
• Perform complex design analysis to support robust controls development and integration.
• Specify, decompose, and balance system requirements across functions and interfaces.
• Develop, integrate, and validate rapid prototype controls solutions for early feature development, proof-of-concept work, and vehicle-level learning.
• Collaborate with systems, software, calibration, validation, and vehicle integration teams to deliver high-quality controls content and resolve prototype/production-intent issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience in embedded controls, software, or algorithm development using Embedded C.
• Experience with vehicle controls (e.g., chassis controls, propulsion controls, or other dynamic embedded control systems).
• Experience with controls development tools and methods such as Matlab/Simulink, model-based development, and structured software design practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to solve unusual and difficult technical problems.
• Ability to translate system requirements into control logic, software design content, and testable deliverables; strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional work.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with rapid controller prototyping tools such as ETAS or dSPACE.
• Experience with MIL, SIL, and HIL development and validation environments.
• Experience serving as a technical lead or subject matter expert in a controls or software domain.
• Familiarity with agile development methods and automotive product development processes.
