What you will do
- Partner with Hardware, Systems, and Product teams to align research strategy with long-term product vision.
- Advocate for data-driven development practices and translate benchtop validation into human subject research.
- Manage intake, scoping, and execution of physical product research initiatives while driving operational excellence.
- Design hardware validation studies, protocols, and benchmarking methodologies with high scientific rigor.
- Coach and develop a team of researchers, fostering strong research craft and cross-functional collaboration.
- Serve as a senior individual contributor on complex validation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Human Factors, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in physical product research, specifically within hardware, health tech, or wearables.
- 3+ years of people management experience, including team scaling and leading cross-functional programs.
- Strong understanding of hardware systems and engineering-driven product development environments.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively at an executive level.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-verify participant).
