Fullstack Software Dev Engineer II (AI)

Location: United States of America; flexible hybrid work with occasional in-person events or team sessions.

Salary: $111,000–$231,250 per year, plus possible discretionary bonus or commissions.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable full-stack identity systems with React, TypeScript, Java, and Node.js.
• Own complex features and project phases from requirements and system design through implementation, testing, and production.
• Lead AI-assisted development workflows using structured specifications, prompt modeling, and tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
• Validate, test, and secure AI-generated code and identify bottlenecks in high-traffic distributed systems.
• Improve reliability, debug production issues, and automate repetitive development and testing tasks.
• Collaborate with product, UX, security, and engineering teams while sharing technical and workflow practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–6 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong Java backend engineering experience and hands-on experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as Next.js.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, API development, databases, web security, testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted developer tools into production software development workflows.
• Ability to evaluate, audit, and debug AI-generated outputs while maintaining code quality, security, performance, and test coverage.

Nice to have

• Experience with identity and access management, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, or web security standards.
• Cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with Splunk, Grafana, performance profiling, WCAG, internationalization, or Spec-Driven Development.
