Fullstack Software Dev Engineer II (React/Java)

Location: United States of America; flexible hybrid work with occasional in-person events or team sessions.

Salary: $111,000–$231,250 per year, with potential discretionary annual bonus or commissions.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable full-stack identity systems using React, TypeScript, Java, and Node.js.
• Own complex features and standalone project phases from requirements gathering and systems design through implementation, testing, and production.
• Lead AI-assisted development workflows using structured markdown specifications, Cursor, Claude Code, and related tools.
• Validate, test, audit, and secure AI-generated code and other generated assets.
• Identify bottlenecks, improve platform reliability, and debug complex issues in high-traffic distributed identity systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Security Engineers, and other product squads on technical integrations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–6 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java backend services and responsive web applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as Next.js.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, API development, databases, and web security.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted developer tools into production software workflows and understanding prompt engineering, model limitations, and structured context assembly.
• Experience evaluating AI-generated outputs, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and production-ready maintainable tests.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-scale identity and access management systems, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, or web security standards.
• Cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with Splunk, Grafana, client/server performance profiling, Spec-Driven Development, API-first design, or AI-assisted diagnostic tools.
• Exposure to WCAG accessibility, internationalization, or large-scale consumer product delivery.
