Senior Knowledge Manager (Knowledge Management/AI): Establishing and maintaining a canonical corpus of authoritative organizational knowledge to improve decision-making and AI grounding with an accent on taxonomy design, data governance, and AI-readiness. Focus on restructuring fragmented documentation, implementing a federated maintenance model, and optimizing content for LLM retrieval.

Location: Hybrid in London, UK (Minimum 2 days per week in-office)

What you will do

• Develop and execute a written Knowledge Strategy tailored for an AI-enabled organizational environment.
• Define the boundary between authoritative knowledge and working documentation, using LLM-based tools to enforce standards.
• Actively maintain the knowledge corpus, managing review cycles and decommissioning stale or contradictory content.
• Map critical domains and lead a federated network of domain experts to fill knowledge gaps.
• Establish mandatory patterns for capturing structured learning from QBRs, retros, and major decisions.
• Collaborate with AI and Engineering leads to specify how organizational knowledge is indexed, retrieved, and served into internal AI tools.

Requirements

• Proven track record of improving knowledge organization and maintenance in mid-to-large organizations.
• Strong writing and structuring skills with the ability to design usable taxonomies and indices.
• Knowledge of data governance concepts (ownership, classification, retention) within regulated markets.
• Practical understanding of how AI/LLM systems consume knowledge, including retrieval and metadata.
• Proficiency with wikis, documentation systems, and knowledge base tooling.
• Ability to influence without formal authority and manage a federated network of maintainers.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
• Background in library science, technical writing, knowledge engineering, or data governance.
• Experience managing federated ownership models rather than central teams.
• Exposure to AI-assisted retrieval transitions on the knowledge/content side.
