What you will do

• Audit and document the current semantic model structure and relationships for consistency with ontologies and existing applications.
• Identify and eliminate redundant tables, views, columns, and measures within the MS Data Lake.
• Rewrite inefficient or problematic DAX formulas to improve clarity and processing speed.
• Collaborate with data engineers to identify and resolve ingestion issues on the Microsoft side.
• Verify data accuracy and consistency across all Power BI reports.
• Refactor, consolidate, or redesign dashboards to improve usability and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of professional Power BI experience, including data model optimization.
• Proven ability to audit and refactor existing BI solutions and integrate with various data stores.
• Expertise in diagnosing and fixing complex DAX formula issues.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Experience with version control or change management in BI environments.
• Familiarity with Dagster, DBT, and Postgres.
