Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Brazil; 100% remote. The role may require up to 25% travel depending on business needs.

What you will do

• Design, document, develop, and implement machine learning solutions on AWS for customer projects.
• Build ML models, MLOps workflows, and analytics capabilities for real-world applications.
• Process big data and prepare training datasets for machine learning models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams and participate in daily standups and customer agile ceremonies.
• Connect customer business goals with feature design, model training, and inference requirements.

Requirements

• Strong experience building machine learning models for real-world applications.
• Strong experience with at least one of AWS ML Services or SageMaker, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, time-series forecasting, or inferential statistics.
• Strong experience with big data or streaming platforms and data processing using Python, Pandas, PySpark, Scala, or SQL.
• Strong understanding of feature definition, model metadata, hyperparameter tuning, stochastic gradient descent, deep learning layers, and activation functions.
• Experience with visualization tools such as SageMaker, ggplot, Matplotlib, or Seaborn, and with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Amazon CDK, or Terraform.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Current legal authorization to work in Brazil is required; visa or work permit sponsorship is not available.
