Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or remote within the United States. Employment may be subject to verification of residence, U.S. person status, and/or citizenship status due to national security and export control requirements.

What you will do

• Develop online and offline perception and generative AI algorithms for L4 self-driving vehicles.
• Build robust software for real-time, resource-constrained, safety-critical applications.
• Develop, maintain, and improve algorithms and systems for online map standards.
• Identify limitations in the online mapping system and drive improvements from problem definition through delivery.
• Align stakeholders through clear presentations and communication while executing team priorities.

Requirements

• Experience architecting, training, and deploying deep learning models, including transformers, diffusion, or flow models, in real-world environments.
• Experience driving applied research projects from conception and experimentation through publication or productization.
• Software engineering experience and expertise in machine learning algorithm design.
• Fluency in Python and experience with C++.
• Ability to satisfy applicable U.S. national security, residence, citizenship, and export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with sensor fusion and/or online mapping.
