Core Solutions Engineer (Data Center)

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and progress customer opportunities.
• Discover business drivers and technical challenges across data center, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, AI, and services.
• Design and present integrated, outcome-led infrastructure solutions aligned with customer needs, risk, and budget.
• Support the full pre-sales lifecycle, including discovery, proposals, presentations, demonstrations, and technical validation.
• Collaborate with services, delivery teams, partners, and vendors to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and commercially viable.
• Coach sales teams, contribute to account strategy, and maintain the solution practice pipeline.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role and experience supporting customer-facing pre-sales engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• Intermediate experience with complex data center sales opportunities and enterprise IT environments.
• Ability to design infrastructures involving hybrid cloud, hyper-converged systems, software-defined data centers, infrastructure or platform as a service, automation, containerization, and data center management platforms.
• Knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, server virtualization, software-defined data centers, containerization, automation, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability.
• Experience with technologies from Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix.

• Advanced certification in Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix.
