What you will do

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of secretarial duties for Group and subsidiary boards, including agendas, papers, and minutes.
  • Provide governance guidance and support to Board and Committee Chairs and executive management.
  • Lead the review and finalization of the Corporate Governance Framework and disclosures within the Annual Report and Accounts.
  • Implement operational process improvements using technology to drive efficiency in board and committee governance.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to build capability and professional excellence.

Requirements

  • CGI-qualified with significant experience as a governance professional in a PLC, preferably in financial services.
  • Extensive experience acting as a board or committee Secretary.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Companies Act 2006, UK Listing, Disclosure and Transparency Rules, and the UK Corporate Governance Code.
  • Outstanding written communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Must be based in or be able to work in London on a hybrid basis.
