Systems and Network Specialist (Networking/DoD): Providing comprehensive systems administration and network support for the TRICARE Area Office - Europe with an accent on LAN/WAN operations and server maintenance. Focus on troubleshooting Tier 2/3 network issues, ensuring DoD security compliance, and maintaining OCONUS infrastructure.

Location: Sembach, Germany (Onsite). Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US and able to obtain/maintain a United States Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.

What you will do

• Maintain and operate TRICARE Area Office - Europe systems and network infrastructure.
• Perform server maintenance, software support, and network equipment management.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems at Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels.
• Configure and upgrade network connection devices and automation equipment.
• Analyze LAN/WAN operations to ensure performance standards are met.
• Provide on-site helpdesk support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Requirements

• Active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance required.
• DoD Approved 8570 / 8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications required.
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification required.
• 6-9 years of relevant systems and networking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 5 years of technical training/experience.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF), and Ethernet standards.

Nice to have

• Microsoft systems certifications.
• Zero Trust Architecture awareness.
• DoD Healthcare Information Systems experience.
• Experience working in the European theater (OCONUS).
