TL;DR
Staff Operations Engineer (Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure): Designing and operating scalable, reliable infrastructure across office, data center, and cloud environments with an accent on architecture, networking, automation, and operational reliability. Focus on leading complex migrations, improving monitoring and system performance, solving infrastructure incidents, and guiding cross-team technical decisions.

What you will do
- Own and evolve architecture across hybrid-cloud, workplace, office, data center, and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead complex infrastructure projects, including migrations, re-architectures, performance improvements, and reliability initiatives.
- Design and support compute, DNS, networking, identity, load balancing, and related infrastructure components.
- Improve reliability through monitoring, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, capacity planning, incident analysis, and automation.
- Collaborate with IT, SRE, Security, and service owners to align technical solutions across teams.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical direction, and maintain clear documentation, diagrams, and runbooks.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
- Strong experience designing and operating production infrastructure.
- Expertise with VMware, Cisco UCS, application or network load balancers, Linux/Unix, data center environments, and networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls.
- Ability to lead complex technical work across multiple teams and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Hands-on experience with architecture, implementation, troubleshooting, and operational ownership.
Nice to have
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Puppet, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Python scripting, observability tooling, reliability practices, containerization, and modern platform tooling.
- Experience with security-focused infrastructure design.
- GitHub Enterprise administration, including access management, organization and repository management, SSO/SCIM integration, and policy enforcement.
