Group Lead Automation Engineering - Test Center Wind Energy (Wind Energy)

Location: Rostock, Germany; hybrid flexibility includes up to 8 days of mobile work per month and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of engineers and specialists focused on automation and integration testing.
• Own integration testing for wind turbine subsystems using rest bus simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop methods.
• Plan and coordinate test activities across internal and international test laboratories.
• Scale the automation test infrastructure to meet future product and project requirements.
• Optimize Test Center processes, tools, and workflows using data-driven methods.
• Coordinate with engineering and project management stakeholders on test strategy, execution, and system validation.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Extensive wind industry experience and solid knowledge of wind turbine systems and components.
• Experience in test automation and integration testing with tools such as Python, imc Famos, Matlab, or LabVIEW.
• Strong understanding of engineering processes and commercial awareness.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German required.
• Structured, proactive, solution-oriented communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
