What you will do

  • Assemble and configure simulator hardware, including PCs, networking equipment, VR devices, HOTAS peripherals, and other tactical equipment.
  • Execute software testing in the Mission Simulation environment, including VBS4 and custom C++ modules.
  • Build QA processes from the ground up, including test protocols, test plans, and bug-tracking workflows.
  • Collaborate with software engineers by translating performance issues into clear technical feedback and actionable bug reports.
  • Validate software updates and releases on physical simulator setups before tactical training and customer demonstrations.
  • Systematically reproduce complex software and integration bugs to support rapid resolution.

Requirements

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software QA testing, system integration, or a related hardware-software role.
  • Hands-on experience assembling IT or simulator hardware and configuring Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience defining QA processes, writing structured test plans, and managing bug-tracking workflows.
  • Strong technical communication skills for translating user-facing issues into actionable information for software developers.
  • Professional working proficiency in spoken and written English.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with VBS4, Unreal, Unity, or other simulation engines and complex tactical gaming environments.
  • Basic Python or PowerShell scripting skills for test and operating-system configuration automation.
  • Defence-sector experience or knowledge of military operations and tactics.
