What you will do

  • Design, build, and troubleshoot electrical and control systems for ground test facilities.
  • Develop PLC- and HMI-based control architectures for automated test operations.
  • Produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams in compliance with NASA and JSC safety standards.
  • Integrate sensors and data acquisition hardware for facility monitoring.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on design reviews and hazard analysis.
  • Support end-to-end system checkout and verification activities for test campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government background investigation.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Experience with electrical wiring schematics and control panel design.
  • Experience working in a test facility or laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PLC control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley) and HMI design.
  • Background in aerospace, research laboratories, or environmental simulation facilities.
  • Experience with data acquisition tools such as LabVIEW or Python.
  • Familiarity with NASA JSC organizations, processes, and procedures.
