What you will do

• Assist anchors, reporters, and producers in the formation of daily news programming.
• Conduct research and interviews with analysts to support editorial content.
• Perform audio cutting and soundbite selection from live events.
• Build and maintain coverage calendars while identifying potential stories.
• Learn and apply radio journalism ethical standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with news desks and visual production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be a current student or a recent graduate (within 12 months of start date).
• Must be available for on-site work in Washington, D.C.
• Strong writing skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with audio cutting and editing.
• Strong interest in national and international news.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
