Cybersecurity SME (Cybersecurity): Advising government stakeholders on the development and execution of strategic cybersecurity programs with an accent on system security concepts, capabilities, and problem resolution. Focus on implementing technical capabilities that satisfy federal Intelligence Community security directives and translating requirements into secure technical solutions.

Location: Must be based in Springfield, VA (Onsite)

What you will do

• Advise government clients on strategic and tactical cybersecurity program execution.
• Implement technical capabilities that satisfy federal Intelligence Community security directives.
• Identify, develop, and test automated cybersecurity capabilities.
• Translate complex cybersecurity requirements into secure technical solutions for developers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate system security concepts and resolve security-related problems.

Requirements

• Must hold an active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 cybersecurity certification (IAT I or equivalent).
• Experience engineering and decommissioning cybersecurity tools in large enterprise projects.
• Experience securing virtual systems, cloud computing, and hybrid environments.
• Experience implementing processes within Agile and DevSecOps frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience balancing security compliance with program cost, schedule, and mission needs.
• Knowledge of network security architecture, defense-in-depth, and topology.
• Experience implementing security controls for Docker and Kubernetes-based microservices.
• Background working on major defense acquisitions or large R&D programs.
