Cybersecurity Engineer (Cloud)

TL;DR

Cybersecurity Engineer (Cloud/RMF): Implementing and maintaining security controls for a global data processing platform with an accent on cloud infrastructure, compliance, and resilience in highly regulated environments. Focus on executing the RMF process, managing ATO packages in eMASS, and conducting vulnerability remediation to ensure DoD security standards.

Location: Must be local to Patrick SFB, FL or Arlington, VA. Onsite support may be required based on mission needs.

What you will do

• Implement security controls across cloud infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
• Maintain compliance with DoD security requirements and frameworks including RMF and NIST 800-53.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to integrate security into system design and development.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, remediation efforts, and monitor system security posture.
• Implement identity and access management (IAM) and least privilege principles.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, such as SSPs and POA&Ms, and participate in audits.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and active DoW clearance with TS/SCI eligibility are mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven experience completing the RMF process and managing ATO packages in eMASS.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 and DISA STIG testing.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD security integration.
• Prior experience supporting U.S. Federal Government programs, particularly DoW environments.
