What you will do

• Administer and maintain enterprise Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Perform database performance optimization, backup, and recovery validation.
• Execute production and UAT database updates, scripts, and data corrections.
• Ensure data integrity and security within highly regulated federal systems.
• Coordinate security patches and support audit/compliance activities.
• Collaborate on release deployments and recovery testing.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Must be a US-based resident eligible for IRS High-Risk Background Investigation and access processing.
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise and T-SQL.
• Experience with database design, SQL jobs, and backup/recovery procedures.
• Proven ability to support production environments in a regulated setting.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and IIS administration.

Nice to have

• Prior IRS experience or existing IRS clearance.
• Experience with .NET/IIS web application support.
• Knowledge of Business Objects and Crystal Reports.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility compliance.
• Experience with federal cybersecurity frameworks like FISMA and NIST.
