What you will do

• Deploy, configure, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases within AWS environments.
• Manage database services including RDS and EC2 while optimizing for performance and cost.
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Enforce database security best practices, including IAM integration and encryption.
• Collaborate with application and cloud teams to design scalable, resilient data architectures.
• Automate routine database operations and monitoring using scripting tools.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience in a technician or similar database administration role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle administration.
• Proven experience managing databases in AWS environments (RDS, EC2, storage, networking).
• Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with backup, recovery models, and business continuity planning.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
