TL;DR

Litigation Paralegal (Legal): Supporting attorneys in civil litigation, personal injury, and construction defect matters with an accent on case management and trial preparation. Focus on managing discovery, processing medical records, and coordinating trial exhibits.

Location: Hybrid (New York, NY) - Must be able to work in the office 1 day a week

Salary: $35 - $48 per hour

What you will do

  • Support attorneys through all phases of civil litigation, including case management and document drafting.
  • Manage discovery processes, including propounding and responding to interrogatories, requests for admissions, and subpoenas.
  • Coordinate trial preparation, including witness travel, exhibits, trial notebooks, and page lines.
  • Independently obtain, review, and organize medical records and billings to calculate damages.
  • Maintain routine communication with clients, experts, and opposing counsel regarding case status.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certification is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in civil litigation, insurance defense, or personal injury.
  • Must be based in the USA and able to work in the New York office 1 day a week.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal civil litigation deadlines and rules.
  • Experience with New York state litigation is highly encouraged.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
