Sr. Data Center Operations (Networking)

What you will do

• Monitor LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud network infrastructure around the clock using network monitoring platforms.
• Triage and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 incidents involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and wireless networks.
• Lead outage response during assigned shifts and coordinate with internal teams, carriers, vendors, and network engineering.
• Implement approved configuration changes, firmware upgrades, device replacements, backups, and post-change validation.
• Maintain incident documentation, root cause analysis inputs, runbooks, operating procedures, network diagrams, and device inventories.
• Mentor junior network operators, respond to network security alerts, improve monitoring, and identify automation opportunities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in network operations, a NOC, or a similar infrastructure support role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, BGP, OSPF, STP, LACP, and trunking.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls and VPNs, plus enterprise equipment from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar vendors.
• Proficiency with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, Datadog, Wireshark, SNMP, and NetFlow.
• Experience with ITIL-style incident, problem, and change management using ServiceNow, Jira, or a comparable ticketing system.
• CCNA, JNCIA, an equivalent certification, or comparable practical experience; willingness to work rotating night shifts and participate in on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• CCNP, JNCIS, Network+, or vendor security certifications such as PCNSA or NSE.
• Scripting or automation experience with Python, Ansible, or Bash.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, SD-WAN, MPLS, VXLAN/EVPN, InfiniBand, or RoCE.
• Experience in a large-scale, high-availability data center, ISP, or cloud provider environment.
