Senior Systems Engineer (Azure & On-Premises Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid in McLean, Virginia, United States. International travel may be required.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, secure, and maintain Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Configure Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Key Vault, Monitor, Firewall, Front Door, Application Gateway, and secure Azure Landing Zones.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, virtualization platforms, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Implement Zero Trust controls, privileged access management, RBAC, certificate-based authentication, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
• Integrate identity, directory, security, monitoring, database, and third-party systems including LDAP, SCCM, Splunk, and SQL Server.
• Provide Tier III support, troubleshoot complex infrastructure and security issues, and create architecture diagrams, runbooks, deployment guides, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in systems, infrastructure, or cloud engineering, including 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering.
• Expertise with Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, PowerShell, networking, hybrid infrastructure, and secure system design.
• Experience supporting government, defense, or similarly regulated environments.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
• Visa sponsorship is not available, and third-party arrangements are not accepted.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• IAM platforms, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and HSMs.
• Azure Landing Zones, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience supporting classified or mission-critical systems.
