Manager Student & Community Engagement (Equity & Inclusion): Developing and implementing community engagement programming to support historically, persistently, and systemically marginalized (HPSM) student and employee groups with an accent on equity, anti-racism, and decolonization initiatives. Focus on building strategic partnerships, supervising peer mentors, and facilitating complex stakeholder relationships within a large university ecosystem.
Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada ( Vancouver Campus)
Compensation: $7,622.83 - $11,886.67 CAD Monthly

What you will do
- Manage the development and implementation of community engagement programming for HPSM student and employee groups.
- Recruit, train, and supervise community volunteers, peer mentors, and student assistants.
- Foster collaborative relationships with student-led groups, affinity groups, and diverse campus stakeholders.
- Establish mechanisms for regular consultation to amplify community-identified challenges and advance institutional EDI priorities.
- Manage the annual community engagement programming budget and evaluate project outcomes.
- Develop communications and events to support engagement goals and leverage digital tools for outreach.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with at least five years of related experience.
- Deep understanding of social justice, equity, and inclusion principles.
- Demonstrated record of leading and implementing community engagement strategies, preferably in higher education.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-cultural environment and adapt to a changing institutional landscape.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience working collaboratively towards decolonization and Indigenization, especially with Indigenous partners.
- Familiarity with university settings or large unionized institutions.
