Location: Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties). Relocation assistance may be available. This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco HQ.

Salary: $156,000–$175,500

What you will do

• Introduce hirify.global to policymakers and other stakeholders, educating them on the mission, products, and investments in privacy and safety.
• Advocate for hirify.global’s position on key legislative and regulatory initiatives impacting users and business.
• Engage in public policy coalitions with peer companies and civil society organizations.
• Monitor and analyze policy developments in the U.S. States.
• Develop public policy materials such as position papers, talking points, presentations, and consultation responses.
• Engage with cross-functional partners, reporting on policy developments, providing expert insights, and gathering input.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in government, public policy advocacy, and/or government relations.
• Deep insight into the policymaking process in the U.S. States.
• Ability to execute a multi-year strategic advocacy and public affairs program.
• Work experience on technology policy initiatives such as online safety, privacy, or content moderation.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
• Success building trust and consensus across stakeholders with different perspectives and priorities.
