What you will do

• Research, report, and write daily segments and corresponding interview questions.
• Determine video and sound elements for assigned segments.
• Manage live segments directly from the control room during airing.
• Collaborate on editorial planning and pitch innovative story ideas.
• Develop content for social media and digital DTC platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in journalism (cable, network news, website, or newspaper).
• Strong writing skills and deep knowledge of American politics and current events.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours under tight deadline pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience with field tape production including scripting and shooting.
• Ability to book guests and coordinate with graphics and video teams.
• Proficiency in both tape and desktop editing.
• Previous experience with breaking news and edit room environments.
