What you will do

• Build daily rundowns and oversee immediate changes when breaking news occurs.
• Collaborate with show directors to block and time programming.
• Approve and copy edit scripts and write fresh copy as needed.
• Pitch editorial ideas and develop the strongest elements for each segment.
• Communicate timing and roll cues with guests and correspondents.
• Coordinate with the news desk and booking to request reporters and guests.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in person five days a week in New York, NY.
• 5+ years of experience in broadcast, live streaming, or cable.
• 3+ years of experience working on live daily shows.
• At least 1 year of experience as a line producer.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated editorial judgment and understanding of journalistic standards.
