TL;DR

Casualty Litigated Claims Handler (Insurance): Managing a caseload of EL/PL delegated authority fixed fee cases with an accent on pre-action disclosure and liability decisions. Focus on reviewing evidence, conducting investigations, and ensuring strict compliance with SRA Standards.

Location: Hybrid (Bristol/Bolton), 1 day a week in office

What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of EL/PL delegated authority fixed fee cases for insurance clients.
  • Handle Pre-action disclosure files and Infant Approval Hearings.
  • Instruct Counsel and experts, conduct legal research, and attend trials.
  • Review medical and personnel records and conduct investigations with insured parties.
  • Negotiate payments and draft Tomlin and Consent Orders.
  • Ensure all activities comply with SRA Standards & Regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the UK (requirement for office attendance in Bristol/Bolton).
  • Previous experience in personal injury file handling.
  • Legal Education (ILEX, LPC or equivalent work experience).
  • High level of analytical skills and attention to detail for repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
