What you will do

• Develop high-fidelity virtual models for hydraulic and electric brake systems coupling physical dynamics and control software.
• Integrate multi-domain models into co-simulation environments for software development, calibration, and validation.
• Align software releases and calibration milestones to ensure the virtual vehicle package remains up to date.
• Create developmental test procedures and collaborate with suppliers to troubleshoot virtual models.
• Validate brake system co-sim models using vehicle data and develop automated simulation scripts using MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
• Define requirements for supplier co-sim packages and manage plant models using GitHub.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in product development, analysis, or validation.
• 5+ years of experience in brake system controls.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• Hybrid work: must report to Warren, Michigan at least 3 times a week.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• MS in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2+ years of experience using CAE tools and methods.
• Knowledge of tire modeling or automotive manufacturing processes (casting, forging, machining).
• Participation in competitive teams such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, or EcoCAR.
• Multilingual ability (Spanish, German, Mandarin, Korean, Portuguese, or Hindi/Kannada).
