Simulation Engineer (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Simulation Engineer (Aerospace): Developing ground software simulations for the Orion MPCV Artemis program with an accent on docking operations, 6 DoF simulation, and HLA Federate integration. Location: Must be able to report full time in person to a facility in Houston, TX or Denver, CO

What you will do

• Perform simulation ground software systems engineering, design, production, and testing for Artemis docking operations.
• Develop and execute unit and functional testing within an Agile framework.
• Build simulation models covering Orion dynamics, ECLSS, and HLA Federate integration.
• Provide HLS interface, telemetry, and lab integration support, including SpaceX emulator integration.
• Investigate and resolve defects for Artemis 3 and Artemis 4 sustainment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant software or simulation engineering experience.
• Extensive proficiency with C++ and Python.
• Experience with real-time 6 DoF simulation and Linux development environments.
• Knowledge of aerospace engineering concepts such as fluid mechanics and orbital dynamics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government background investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
• Familiarity with the Orion program or OrionSim capabilities.
