What you will do

• Design and deliver enterprise data products on Databricks using medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold).
• Solve complex domain problems including entity resolution, master data, and integration of acquired systems.
• Define and evolve engineering standards for dbt patterns, ingestion, data contracts, and observability.
• Own data quality and contracts, ensuring reliable interfaces between producers and consumers.
• Raise the technical bar through code reviews, design input, and mentoring other engineers and analysts.
• Translate multi-system operational complexity into durable engineering execution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including time as a senior IC.
• Hands-on production experience with Databricks and dbt.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience working with enterprise data sources such as CRM, ERP, or finance systems.
• Proven track record of implementing CI/CD, testing, and observability standards.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Salesforce, Sage, or SAP as data sources.
• Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, MetricFlow, and DQX.
• Experience in SaaS environments and data product operating models with SLAs.
• Experience with Tableau for downstream data consumption.
