What you will do

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure across multiple hyperscalers, primarily AWS, including Kubernetes and OpenStack.
• Own the end-to-end FinOps process, managing commitment strategies (RI, Savings Plans) and eliminating waste to reduce costs.
• Establish organizational FinOps practices, including cost allocation, tagging policies, and spend forecasting.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform and Flux.
• Build and maintain observability for system health and cost efficiency using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and serve as a senior escalation point for production incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role with deep cloud infrastructure expertise.
• Proven experience with FinOps principles and translating infrastructure decisions into financial impact.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience in cluster administration and production troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting in Python or Go.
• Must be based in the United States
• Strong Linux administration and debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with EKS or managing on-premise infrastructure.
• FinOps Foundation certification (FOCP) or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud cost management platforms like Archera, CloudHealth, or Apptio.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and AI-powered observability tools.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
